About the Author

Diplomate, historien, Jean-François Parot vit aujourd'hui en Bretagne. Pour écrire les aventures de Nicolas Le Floch, commissaire au Châtelet dans la France de Louis XV et de Louis XVI, il s'est appuyé sur sa solide connaissance du Paris du XVIIIe siècle. Il a reçu le prix de l'Académie de Bretagne pour Le Sang des farines. L'enquête russe est le dixième volume de cette série au succès sans cesse grandissant. Son œuvre est traduite dans de nombreux pays. Sa série est à l'origine du grand feuilleton de France 2. L'année du volcan, son nouveau roman, a paru aux éditions Jean-laude Lattès en janvier 2013.
